    1. Acceptance

    By using DNScope you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to the free public version of DNScope operated by Circlelink at dnscope.circlelink.eu.

    2. What DNScope is

    DNScope is a collection of browser-based DNS and network tools. It runs entirely client-side and calls public third-party APIs (Google Public DNS, Cloudflare, rdap.org, Shodan InternetDB, crt.sh, ipwho.is and others) on your behalf. There is no DNScope backend.

    3. Acceptable use

    You agree to use DNScope only for lawful purposes and specifically not to:

    • Attempt to attack, disrupt or degrade DNScope, the third-party APIs it calls, or any target system.
    • Scan or probe infrastructure you do not own or have explicit written permission to test.
    • Use the port scan / exposure or subdomain discovery features against targets in violation of applicable computer-misuse laws (e.g. the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in the US, Computer Misuse Act in the UK, Wet Computercriminaliteit in the Netherlands).
    • Automate DNScope in a way that violates the rate limits or terms of the third-party services it depends on.
    • Impersonate DNScope or Circlelink, or resell the service as your own.

    You are solely responsible for how you use the results the tools produce.

    4. No warranty

    DNScope is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Results depend on external services that can be slow, wrong, out-of-date or unavailable at any time. Do not use DNScope results as the sole basis for security or compliance decisions — verify independently.

    5. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Circlelink and its contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of DNScope, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, security incidents, or reputational harm, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

    6. Third-party services

    When you use DNScope your browser makes requests to third parties listed in the Privacy Policy. Their terms and privacy policies apply to those requests. We do not control their availability, accuracy or data handling.

    7. Intellectual property

    The DNScope name and branding are owned by Circlelink. The underlying application code is available at Circlelink's discretion and, where published as open source, is subject to its own licence. You may not use DNScope's branding to imply endorsement of any product or service without written permission.

    8. Changes

    We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of DNScope after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will bump the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

    9. Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts having jurisdiction over Circlelink's registered office.
